 The vast majority of workplace injuries can be traced back to just a handful of causal situations or actions so, in the interests of prevention, Elumina conducts detailed safety audits to identify existing and potential causes of accidents.
Should an accident occur, Elumina oversees the collection and analysis of physical evidence and witness statements and prepares thorough reports for the appropriate agencies and internal use.
Elumina will undertake a comprehensive and objective investigation of any type of workplace accident or incident, and:
- Evaluate the task, work environment, tools and equipment and the training and supervision methods used;
- Carry out risk assessment and control and identify existing and potential hazards;
- Develop safety policies and procedures in consultation with workers
