Occupational health and safety is more than cost minimisation; it's protection for directors, manager/supervisors and employees.
Each offence carries a fine, up to $250,000 for companies and $50,000 for individuals, and/or five years imprisonment.
It's important to note that, generally when prosecutions occur, most individuals and companies are charged with more than one offence.
Our occupational health and safety services include:
- Introduction of SAFETY map to provide a framework for developing measuring and implementing improvements in OH & S
- Compliance with existing OH & S legislation
- Self-insurance assessments and applications
- Physical risk surveys which identify areas of potential risk to employees and members of the public
- Regular inspections to provide independent, external reviews of the workplace
- Specific purpose inspections to complement activities within an organisation such as:
- Manual handling risk assessments
- Slip, trip and fall risk assessments
- Workshop hazard surveys
- Confined spaces
- Working from heights
- Hazardous substances
- Plant and equipment
- Protective clothing and equipment
Development of a policy and procedures manual to form an effective workplace health and safety management system.
